This event, held in partnership with the Malden Islamic Center, the City of Malden, and the Malden Police Department, was a remarkable success.

After a very successful 2016 New England Muslim Festival attended by 3,000+ guests, we hosted our 2nd Festival on September 17, 2017, at the Cambridge Health Alliance parking lot in Malden, MA. This larger venue with more vendor space, was arranged with the assistance of the Mayor of Malden, MA. The festival like last year featured an afternoon of fun, food, and frolic for Muslim and non-Muslim attendees and featured rides, food stalls, and a grand bazaar. First-ever Malden City New England Muslim Festival was held on Sunday, September 25, 2016, at CITY HALL PLAZA, Malden, MA. The New England Muslim Festival (NEMF) is the largest Muslim festival in the region, showcasing enriching traditions from Muslim communities across the globe. Organized by the Muslim Heritage Foundation Inc., this event brings together diverse cultures and promotes understanding and unity.

3rd Annual Festival​

The NEMF Team is thrilled to share the success of our 3rd Annual Festival, which took place at the Malden Islamic Center Parking Lot, 405 Pearl St, Malden, MA 02148. This event, held in partnership with the Malden Islamic Center, the City of Malden, and the Malden Police Department, was a remarkable success.

We were delighted to welcome over 7,000 attendees, including families, friends, and neighbors, who came together to make this year’s event unforgettable. The festival featured an array of cultural, ethnic, and American clothes, as well as arts and crafts, showcased by numerous vendors.

The performances were a highlight, featuring talented artists such as Khalil Ismail, Sami Halloul, Gareth Bryant, Sr. Aiysha, Abdullah Kazi, Omar Regan, Yahya Hawwa, Noor Ensemble, and Salaam Band. We extend our gratitude to all the performers and participants who made this event so special.

Freedom Dabka Performers

This larger venue with more vendor space, was arranged with the assistance of the Mayor of Malden, MA. The festival like last year featured an afternoon of fun, food, and frolic for Muslim and non-Muslim attendees and featured rides, food stalls, and a grand bazaar. Designed to showcase Muslim cultural programs, including artists of the spoken word, comedy, recitation, a Nasheed, folk song, mime, traditional instruments, and crafts. Some performances were Deen Quad, Noor Ensemble, Bhangra Dance Troupe, Freedom Dabka Group, Naseem Senam – Spoken words, Jawed Noor; Sitar Player, Turkish Musical Orchestra, and more. 2017 attracted a much larger crowd, which was estimated by the MPD to be around 5000+ attendees from American, Moroccan, Algerian, Indo-Pak, Bangla, Far East, and Hispanic backgrounds.

Malden City Plaza

First-ever Malden City New England Muslim Festival was held on Sunday, September 25, 2016, at CITY HALL PLAZA, Malden, MA. The festival featured an afternoon of fun, food, and frolic for Muslim and non-Muslim attendees. It featured rides, food stalls, and a bazaar and especially showcased Muslim cultural programs, including spoken word artists, comedy, recitation, Nasheed, etc. Some performers are; Preacher Moss – Allah Made Me Funny, Joshua Salam – Native Deen, Noor Ensemble, Malden, MIST NYC Team – Regional Champion, Spoken Word; Naseem Senan, Malden Chinese Martial Art youth team, and more. About 2000+ attended the Festival from Moroccan, Algerian, Indo-Pak, Far East, Hispanic and American backgrounds.
